About
“Dare 2 Care 2 Steps Health Education”, was started in 2024, inspired by the lives of Edna Muir and her son Peter Muir. (Note: The memoir of Peter Muir, Mastaclass Magic: True Journey to Health, Happiness, Love, Success” may be sold on our website, depending on demand.)
Our primary goal is to invest in the lives of Jamaican youth, initially with university scholarships and book grants, as well as empowering university students interested in digital health research (for mental health, physical activity, and hypertension prevention and management). Since we believe in empowering everyone to have a healthy lifestyle, we organize nature treks and road walks as our main fundraising activity.
Our three objectives are to increase Steps (of our event participants), improve Health (by promoting lifelong fitness and supporting digital health initiatives), and foster Education (especially for poor students with a bright future). We may consult Trekkers Jamaica to organize nature hikes and/or hire Running Events Jamaica to assist with 5K road walks.
We plan to partner with the Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation. We encourage friends and family to consider a legacy gift to Helping Hands Jamaica (through life insurance and/or by a percentage of the estate in your will).

OUR PURPOSE
We have a three-fold purpose. Our objectives are to increase Steps (of our event participants), improve Health (by promoting lifelong fitness and supporting digital health initiatives), and foster Education (especially for poor students with a bright future).
We raise funds and inspire volunteers through adventurous treks and fun walking events across Jamaica. We aim to help underprivileged Jamaican youth with scholarships, life enhancing experiences, and skills development. Our digital health research aims to determine the feasibility of projects related to mental health, physical activity, and hypertension prevention and management.
Any profits from sales of the memoir of Peter Muir will be used for scholarship or book grants to university students from an underprivileged background.
